What the stores require

The screenshot sizes Apple and Google ask for, how many each store takes, and the feature graphic.

Apple and Google each ask for pictures in set sizes. Get them wrong and the upload is refused. Here is what each store takes.

Screenshot sizes

The App Store takes up to 10 screenshots for each size. Google Play takes up to 8. Make them these sizes, in pixels:

StoreSizePixels
App StoreiPhone 6.9"1320 × 2868
App StoreiPhone 6.3"1206 × 2622
App StoreiPhone 6.1"1179 × 2556
App StoreiPad 13"2064 × 2752
App StoreiPad 12.9"2048 × 2732
Google PlayAndroid phone1080 × 1920
Google PlayAndroid tablet1440 × 2560

You do not need every size. One phone size per store is enough to publish. Tablet sizes are only needed if you say your app runs on tablets.

The app makes these exact sizes for you. Pick the sizes at the top of the editor, and every slide is made at each of them.

Sizes last checked: October 2026.

Feature graphics and other wide pictures

Google Play asks every app for a feature graphic. It is the wide picture shown above your screenshots, and in search. The App Store has its own wide pictures, which are optional.

A store takes one of each. Turn one on with the + button beside the sizes, and the app makes it from the slide you already have.

Languages

Both stores show your listing in the languages you publish it in. You can upload a different set of screenshots for each one. The app knows 81 languages and which store takes which.

Add a language with the globe button at the top. Your first language is the one you write in. The others start with your words, and you replace them as you translate.

You can send your text to a translator as a spreadsheet, then load their file back in. Nothing is typed twice.

Make your screenshots now — it runs in your browser, and your images stay on your computer.
